Our batteries come with a guide that’ll walk you through the process. Just like a standard cart, they are engineered to run a series wiring setup, but if you have any issues, you can just call us and we’ll walk you through it.

Plus, all our lithium batteries come with a complete conversion kit. You’ll get three to four 12V lithium batteries, depending on whether you have a 36V or 48V golf cart. You’ll also get the wiring kit, a LiFePO4 charger, and a battery meter.

Weight

Patriot Power Source’s lithium batteries weigh a fraction of lead-acid batteries. You can reduce your golf cart weight by 300-400 pounds. While the laws are different in every city, many in North and South Carolina will allow you to drive on the streets (with special rules and equipment).

This weight reduction can get you a 4-5 mph speed increase, which is helpful when you’re dealing with regular traffic. It also improves your golf cart’s maneuverability, allowing you to better navigate through traffic or pull over to the side of the road as needed.

Many batteries’ usable capacity lowers substantially in colder temperatures. Patriot Power Source’s lithium batteries experience very little loss of capacity. In fact, at temperatures below freezing, which is 32º F, 95-98% of the battery’s capacity can still be used. Even at 14º F, our batteries still provide 80% of the rated capacity. These batteries also warm when used, which lowers the resistance and increases the voltage.

Now, these extreme temperatures do affect how you charge your batteries. You’ll need to charge them between 32º and 113º F.

Battery Capacity and Lifespan

Patriot Power Source’s lithium batteries all have 100Ah. This means that you’ll get about 50-60 miles of range before you need to recharge. This should be more than enough to get you wherever you need to go in the smaller beach towns and residential communities in North and South Carolina. With this much range, you likely won’t even need to charge your cart daily.

Our batteries also have one of the most extended lifespans of any other battery on the market. With 7,000-7,500 cycles, you’ll be using this battery for about twice as long as you would if you had lead-acid ones.

Safety

As mentioned before, our batteries are made with LiFePO4 technology, which is inherently safe. Patriot Power Source batteries also have a built-in Battery Management System (BMS). The BMS monitors the battery and prevents it from overheating, over-charging, and over-discharging. It also ensures that the battery is running optimally at all times.

Maintenance
