We have an LSV (low speed vehicle) with a standard 48v golf cart drive train. I decided to go with the onboard charger option which was more compact and half the weight of the original onboard charger that came with the cart. The battery swap shaved around 300lbs off the cart. It’s quicker getting up to speed, 3 miles per hour faster (without tuning of the controller) and will give consistent power no matter how much juice is left on the battery. The range was the biggest difference. We went from an 8 mile range with our 3 year old lead acid batteries to a 30 mile range with the new lithium set. I couldn’t be happier!
